The Background
	Alone at the frontiers of human space, you must engage and defeat countless enemy warships and bases while moving between sectors to eliminate the alien threat. Arrayed against you are myriad warships and weapons, as well as the aliens' network of subspace vortex gates which enable them to pull reinforcements from their homeworld. The Alliance has provided you with the DS27-E, beyond which you have only your wits and reflexes. You must deny the enemy control of sectors, and survive long enough to relay intelligence information back to the Alliance.

You are not expected to return from this mission. Since you are strictly a volunteer, you may choose to abort your mission at any time. Nothing will be said. At all.
